Our Partners

Local, state and national partnerships are key to The Nevada Registry's past, current and future success as a workforce data system in Nevada. While these partnerships vary in depth and breadth, ranging from basic involvement on the Registry Advisory Committee to providing significant program support (both financially and in-kind), all are viewed as instrumental in the ongoing implementation and success of the program. Our partnerships are continually growing and changing in order to remain responsive to the needs and growth of the program.

The list below is not an exhaustive list of all of our partners, but simply a highlight of a few of the primary programs and partnerships that have had the greatest impact on the Registry to date. Department of Education - Office of Early Learning and Development (OELD)

The OELD administers the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Quality Improvement Dollars and coordinates birth-3rd grade state level work to improve access and quality of Early Childhood programs across a variety of settings.

Nevada Department of Health and Human Services Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS)

The Division of Welfare and Supportive Services is the designated lead agency to administer the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF).

Washoe County School District

The Nevada Registry is funded through the Federal Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Quality Improvement Dollars and administered through a contract with the Washoe County School District (WCSD).

Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) - State Child Care Licensing

The DPBH - Child Care Licensing Unit licenses, regulates and monitors all facilities located outside Washoe County and enforces the state child care licensing regulations, which are the minimum requirements for child care in Nevada.

Human Services Agency - Child Care and Early Childhood Services

The Child Care Unit of the Human Services Agency licenses, regulates and monitors all facilities within Washoe County. The regulations for child care facilities in Washoe County must meet, but can exceed, the requirements set forth in the State Child Care Licensing regulations.

Nevada Silver State Stars - Quality Rating & Improvement System (QRIS)

QRIS provides Early Childhood centers/programs with a comprehensive understanding of what they do well, as well as provides extensive support through individualized coaching, technical assistance, financial incentives, resources and professional development.

Teacher Education and Compensation Helps (T.E.A.C.H.) Early Childhood ® Nevada

T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Nevada provides comprehensive, debt-free educational scholarships to Early Childhood professionals.

Nevada Pre-K Standards and Early Learning Guidelines

The Nevada Pre-K Standards office is housed within the Washoe County School District and administers training in the Pre-K Content Standards and Early Learning Guidelines on a statewide basis.

National Registry Workforce Alliance (NWRA)

The NWRA is a private, non-profit, voluntary organization of state early childhood and school-age workforce registry and professional development leaders designed to enhance, strengthen, and support the work of state early childhood and school-age registries.
