Supplies are expected to cover needs of the current school year.

Schools and early childhood education centers (ECEs) in Nevada are eligible to obtain free COVID antigen tests (take home and on-site tests), as well as personal protective equipment (PPE) based on current inventory.

To order COVID antigen tests for an ECE or K-12 school, complete the order form linked here.

The COVID antigen tests for K-12 schools and ECEs are available through a variety of sources, including:

  1. Large inventory of OTC and POC tests currently stored at the Nevada Department of Emergency Management southern warehouse;
  2. Surplus POC tests from school districts statewide that are no longer conducting on-site testing;
  3. ELC Reopening Schools grant funds for schools (districts, charters, and private) to purchase their own tests via Division of Public and Behavioral Health; and
  4. Monthly POC and OTC antigen test allocations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, sent to one central distribution location in Nevada.

With these combined resources, Child Care Licensing is hoping schools and ECEs will have sufficient access to COVID antigen tests throughout the 2022-2023 school year.
