Nominations for the 2023 Early Educator of the Year award are now being accepted. The Nevada Department of Education (NDE) is seeking nominations for lead teachers of infant, toddler, and Pre-K students in both general education and special education programs. These early learning programs include but are not limited to: childcare, family child care, Head Start, Early Head Start, private school, charter school, district Pre-K (e.g., Nevada Ready! State Pre-K, ECSE, Title I), and itinerant/inclusion model. Teachers who were previously nominated/applied are eligible to participate again this year. Nominations are due by April 23, 2023.
