We want to assure you that we take the health and well-being of our community very seriously. Like you, we are closely monitoring the quickly developing effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are practicing social distancing. We have temporarily closed our office to protect and care for those who work with us, our members, and the public. We are still here to support you remotely via email and are committed to maintaining our normal operations and services to the greatest extent possible. Be sure to visit the NEWS page of our website and follow us on Facebook to stay updated.
We are all in this together. As we continue to adjust to these uncertain times and respond to an ever-changing world; important, and often difficult, decisions must be made.
In order to comply with Governor Sisolak’s Stay at Home Order and extension of the state shutdown until the end of April, The Nevada Registry, with support from the Training Approval System (TAS) Advisory Workgroup, is suspending all in-person Registry-approved training sessions through April 30th. What this means is that in-person training sessions will not be approved if occurring during the month of April and all existing in-person training sessions approved prior to this crisis and scheduled to occur during the month of April should be cancelled and/or rescheduled. All currently approved online training courses will remain available via The Nevada Registry’s Training Calendar and serve as a good alternative to in-person training during this period.
Please log in to your Online Portal account to cancel or reschedule any training sessions scheduled during the month of April 2020. We will continue to follow guidance from public health officials and government agencies to determine whether further extensions beyond April 30th will be necessary and will notify you accordingly.
Thank you for your commitment to the Early Childhood workforce in Nevada. We appreciate all of the efforts you are making to sustain the health and safety of yourself and those around you during these unprecedented times. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and communicate with you as this situation continues to evolve. If you have further questions about training delivery, please email our office.
As always, thank you for being an integral part of the professional development system in Nevada!
