Proposed regulations affecting the child care industry in Nevada will be heard at a public hearing via teleconference on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at 1 p.m.

In 2017, new Nevada law introduced a grading system that rates child care facilities based on mandated inspections, which would now result in a letter grade of A, B, C, D or F. Opportunities for re-inspection and improvements are delineated within regulations. Once a final grade is issued to a facility, Child Care Licensing has 60 days to post the letter grade on its website and the facility will be required to post the grade.
