As a new applicant with The Nevada Registry sometimes the amount of information to digest can be overwhelming. Submitting your online application with The Nevada Registry is essentially the last step in the process but you can utilize resources on our website to help you on your journey. Below are a few links to help get you started.

Application Checklist. If you are working in a licensed childcare facility, this document provides a listing of all the required initial training and items needed prior to requesting an application with The Nevada Registry.

NOTE: CPR and First Aid may be taken from any certified instructor as long as they issue an official card from one of six authorized agencies and the CPR portion includes both an infant/child/pediatric component and an in-person skills demonstration. The Training Calendar. This is the tool designed to help you locate Registry-approved training to meet the childcare licensing requirements mentioned in the checklist. Please note The Nevada Registry does not provide training so if you have questions about accessing the courses you will need to contact the provider directly. Career Ladder. The Career Ladder is the cornerstone of The Nevada Registry. The Career Ladder recognizes the importance of ECE-specific education and training and is designed specifically for the Early Childhood profession. It is important to review it so you have an understanding of what is required to advance along the Career Ladder as an ECE educator.

Initial and Continuing Training Requirements for Caregivers. This document provides a detailed listing of all the initial training requirements, how many hours are needed and how often you will need to take these courses. We encourage directors to have an accessible copy of this document in their facility along with the Application Checklist.
